Welcome to the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department Website.
This is your official resource for information about the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department. The Oakland Fire Department is a fully volunteer organization, funded by the Borough of Oakland and supported through the generous donations of residents and businesses in the community.
The mission of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of all Oakland residents, businesses, and visitors. Currently, our department has over 60 volunteers who serve the community from two stations located throughout the area. The department responds to a variety of calls, including structure fires, car fires, vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, highway issues, mutual aid assistance, and all types of disasters—whether natural or man-made. These services are provided by our volunteer members 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We invite you to take some time to explore our website and learn more about the department. Perhaps you may even consider becoming one of us. Founded in 1909, the Oakland Fire Department has a long history of serving the community in times of need and in support of various organizations and functions that benefit our area. We look forward to continuing to serve the Borough of Oakland with the highest level of fire protection possible.
Thank you for your continued support.
