On Tuesday, January 7th, officers for the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department took their Oath of Office at the start of the Borough Council meeting.

Department Chaplain Russ Stammer provided the opening prayer followed by Mayor Eric Kulmala administering the Oath of Office to the following 2025 Firematics officers:

Co 1 Asst Chief - Don Johnston
Co 2 Lieutenant - Steven Longa

Co 2 Engineer - Peter Rocco

Also being sworn on Tuesday were two new officers for Oakland who will soon enter the academy: Nicolas Maricich and James Velardo. We wish them both much success in joining the ranks of the Oakland Police department.
