On Saturday, October 28th, the Public Events Committee held their annual Trick 'r Trunk event by the Oakland Library and Veterans Park.

This years event was one of the best attended events with close to 500 children attending. The mornings fun kicked off with a Halloween Parade that started at the Valley Middle School went through Veterans Park and up to the events area on the lawn next to the Board of Education building.

In addition the the Halloween Parade, the Public Events Committee once again sponsored a classic car show where the participants provided some ghoulish fun and plenty of treats for those in costume. Awards were given to entrants in the classic car show.

The Public Events Committee served coffee, apple cider, donuts and fruit to all the guests and offered pumpkin painting and a blow up corn maze for added fun.

We would like to thank all the members of the PEC for all of their hard work and dedication to our Community thought their all volunteer efforts. We would also like to thank Jimmy and Derick from the Oakland DPW who helped set up and clean up the event.
