On Sunday, October 8th, the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department participated in the annual Choctober Fest sponsored by Thomas "Chopper" Russo. The event, which was held at the Oakland Knights of Columbus, is a showcase for all local area Charities and Clubs as a way to raise awareness about these organizations, increase awareness of their support in our Community and gain new members for anyone interested in joining one of these groups.

Besides the Fire Department other organizations that were at the event included the Oakland Mother's Club, Oakland Elks, the Dog Park Committee and many others. Food and prizes were donated by Thomas "Chopper" Russo and the Oakland Fire Department wishes to thank Chopper for sponsoring this event and we look forward to attending again next year.
